The Verdict is in on Windows 7

After almost a year now since the official release of the Windows 7 operating system, numerous technology review sources as well as customer satisfaction surveys are reporting very positive news about this offering from Microsoft. Users in general are reporting faster start-up and shutdown times as compared with earlier versions of Windows, greater responsiveness with programs and operating system functions, less bugs, conflicts and compatibility issues, and just simply easier to use.

CNET editor Seth Rosenblatt states in his Windows 7 Review, “Luckily for Microsoft, Windows 7 is more than just spin. It’s stable, smooth, and highly polished, introducing new graphical features, a new taskbar that can compete handily with the Mac OS X dock, and device management and security enhancements that make it both easier to use and safer.”

In my own professional experience I have upgraded several of my customers machines from Windows Vista to 7 and have noted that in all cases Windows 7 runs significantly faster than its predecessor windows Vista using the existing hardware! This comes as great news to my clients as well as myself, given that Windows Vista is notorious for consuming excessive amounts of system resources and moving sluggishly on all but the most robust hardware platforms available.

If you are in the market for a new computer system or are looking to upgrade a computer running Windows Vista, Windows 7 is quite likely an operating system you will be pleased with. For an in-depth expert review on Windows 7 as found on PC Advisor click the link below:
